Find Your Niche…
What niche did you find??
Who is Interested in Your Destination?
If you are having trouble, think about your interests, passions, knowledge base and experiences. You may not feel this way, but you do have the answers to someone's problem. Brainstorm with a friend or family member to come up ideas.
Now that you have your destination, you need to determine if anyone else is interested in your destination.
Pick your top five possibilities and do the following research on each topic:
- Go to www.Google.com to see how many pages and advertisers there are for your potential topics.
- Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal; enter your topic and see how many searches there are for your topic
- Choose the best topic based on your findings
[NOTE: Although you can find great info with these free Google tools, I recommend investing in keyword software if you are going to be looking for multiple niches. For finding niches for adsense or minisites I recommend Micro Niche Finder. For businesses I recommend Market Samuari. It is awesome software for detailed information on keywords and competition plus much more.]
Now you should have a topic that has searches and competition. Depending on the market, you want to lean toward topics that have several thousand searches and less than 300,000 competing pages. This isn't hard and fast rules. Depending on the market and goals you can use different criteria.
Make sure you pick the optimum keywords for your topic.
